Out-of-home without a ‘hitch’

Producing a national bus campaign can be a walk in the park. But the latest Nine Network campaign for Married at First Sight featured seven different contestants, each with a unique design over five bus templates – and that adds up to a completely different challenge.

Starting with a base design for each contestant the doohfa team of designers set about to wrangle each design into the various templates. Crafting the message around flashing lights, bumper bars, bus numbers, give-way signs and other exclusion zones. We ended up with 42 artwork variations.

The challenge was use the entire canvas including the negative space to create maximum impact, whilst keeping overall brand consistency and not end up with a stray give-way sign over somebody face!

doohfa has produced many similar bus campaigns for Channel Nine including The Voice, Australia’s Got Talent, Hot Plates and Reno Rumble.
