Suncorp campaign returns to deliver weather warnings to Brisbane residents

Suncorp is monitoring Bureau of Meteorology data to provide real-time contextual messaging to Brisbane residents this Summer. A great idea as weather has a high impact on the cost to insurers, with the Brisbane region having the highest storm claim cost per $1k insured.

Whenever the Bureau of Meteorology activates a Severe Weather Warning or Severe Thunderstorm Warning, doohfa determines if it’s relevant for the locations of Suncorp’s outdoor activity. doohfa then delivers Suncorp’s ‘Severe Weather’ creative, or if the warning includes a prediction for hail, doohfa delivers their ‘Hail’ creative.

Outside of the warning activity, doohfa also detects current rainfall to display Suncorp’s ‘Rain’ creative. So, the campaign is highly responsive to the ambient conditions of the campaign locations – and highly relevant to residents.

Suncorp’s weather warning campaign is appearing across Brisbane this Summer, after the success of last Summer’s weather campaign. Last year’s campaign delivered 9 hail warnings & 10 severe weather warnings to Brisbane residents.
